What's up Diamonds, Welcome to another Friday here on the LJ Morning Sparkle, well I am here and live this means I did not have jury duty again I  am so happy only 10 more days to go and I will be in the clear I am hoping for no jury duty next week either.  I was just called to my attention yesterday that today is 4/20 (420) those that know about 420 it is a day to get extra high, I don't smoke it personally but I know folks that do so my question to them was. Why are you celebrating something you do every day? I mean... I don't get it what is so special about today?The answer I got was, "we can get higher with friends"  that answer by itself reminds me of why I don't smoke it anymore you know "cannabis" I used to smoke it back in the day now I get high off of a greater authority and I pray that one day you find the same.  Anyway, celebrate the weekend anyway that makes you happy I am not here to be the party booper... It doesn't really matter how you do it as long as you do it and do it well! you know why

What's up Diamonds, Welcome to #throwback Thursday's this is the day I like to look at fashions from back in the day, lately, I've been finding interesting events related to those fashions. This week I chose the 30's era, it appears as though the 30's fashion for women was all about glamour fashion with a Mae West appeal and the look of the girdle was in, everything was slim and fit from flat stomachs to flat butts. Today's #bigbootyjudys would not have fit in during that era that is was society liked and the men loved it. Speaking of the men the Fred Astaire look was definitely in the other thing I noticed was it seemed to be an era of hats all of the women outfits had some type of hat to match. The 30's era was also the end of the great depression and the rise of Nazi Germany Europe, the Star Spangled Banner was named the US National Anthem and we were in a major financial crisis... kinda sounds familiar it may not seem like that now but keep watching....  But today is happy we laugh, play, and sing for l

What's Up Diamonds, No jury duty today so I was able to be live one more day we will have to wait and see what happens on Friday, just another week to go and April will be gone and so will my jury duty. I don't mind doing my civic duty but for a whole month...#really. Today is the official start of my week where I get to play most of the music in my library whilst I sit back and listen with you and surf the social media. It is truthful Tuesday the day to be honest about yourself sometimes admitting or confessing things about yourself can be difficult and it can also unravel the ribbon to show a brand new you. Lots of times we need that, being honest with yourself can break down barriers you might have and give you the I don't give a damn what you think about me type of attitude. I think it's invigorating it has helped me come to terms with a lot about me, you should try it.  It's not so much that we don't care about people as much as it doesn't matter what they think or says about you anymore this is who y

What’s up Diamonds, I hope you all are enjoying your weekend we can we use some beautiful here in Virginia and probably in your state too it’s been a long time coming and we’re not in the clear yet. I hope you all did something fun this weekend outside like go for walk or go to an outdoor café with friends either way I hope you got a chance to enjoy this lovely weather. April is awareness and the buzz is all over social media there are different types of illnesses to be aware of like breast cancer,   Alzheimer, awareness, autism this the time to be aware of different diseases, sicknesses, and illnesses that may attack our bodies. I chose to take this moment to make anxiety and discoid lupus my awareness conversation tonight on #coffeetalk. I will be talking about anxiety in the effects it has on our psyche as well at our physical bodies symptoms you may not be aware of. What's up Diamonds, I have some light construction going on in my studio this morning I think it might be a little too noisy for a live recording so I'm going to have to stick you with a podcast at the last minute. Now I thought hard about this and I think this way is best I will be back on Friday morning live unless I get called for jury duty. You know the jury thing I told you about I have that all month I have to call in on for Tuesday and Friday to see if I am called to sit.  I'll be in the networks..    

What's up Diamonds, Are Y'all ready to kickit country style? Today is Cowgirl Country Wednesday and I am ready to play some sweet country beats for ya! It's the middle of the week we go #humpday going on today too. Hey, have you ever road a camel? I know cowboys ride bulls but I wonder what do you call someone who rides a camel? I remember this special I watched not to long ago about the abuse camel jockey's have to bear for the rich in their country. It truly amazes me sometimes how cruel people can be to each other and how the rich have no regards for the poor and weak, hell the working middle class too. Nowaday's he has moved on to bigger things in his acting career and I do wish him much success. Well, week number two and so far I have not been called in to jury duty yet so I can have a live show today, today is truthful Tuesday share or admit a #truth about yourself  it can be private or public as long as you admit it, it can be good or bad doesn't matter as long as you admit it. I'm not sure whether my truth will be public or private today.... I guess I will know in time for the show. What's up Diamonds, It's obvious I am not here tonight but I have a special treat for you it is an interview with the queen of spook Maria Olsen an acquaintance of Comedian Brian T Shirley. Nowadays Brian has been on some serious acting gigs as a matter a fact I saw a skit from his film "The Senator" where I think he plays a racist politician (sounds familiar) hopefully it just seems that way. I am not really sure what the film is all about but I will soon.  I hope you enjoy this interview I do miss him sometimes he was a delight to work with .... good luck on your acting career Brian. What's up Diamonds, Today is #throwbackthursday I like this day because I get to post (you hear me) post different era of fashion that I find attractive unfortunately I don't have the type of wardrobe where I have all the different styles but I can post and live vicariously through my postings. This week I am going to the 1940's where for me the clothing for women represented strength, femininity, and beauty. The makeup says yes I am beautiful but don't mess with me, did you know it was recognized as 2nd wave of women movement, for men, it was the zoot suit era baggy legs and bright colors.  It was during an error when marriages where quick due to world war II and dear John letters were sent on a regular from women not wanting to wait around and a time when the US was just coming out of a depression. Most importantly it was the year of the Pearl Harbor attack if you haven't seen the movie you should cause you gotta know where you came from to know where you are going.  Well I don't have 40's music that's f

It was so good to see the flowers blooming cherry blossoms blooming on the trees and everyone in bright beautiful colors for the spring I hope you are enjoying your spring weather and hope you had a fabulous Easter Sunday I am certainly enjoying mine I love the sunshine. We are now in the 4 months of a new April in 2018  this is the month of awareness for me that means being aware of things I don't fully understand maybe this is the month to find it out.  For some folks that can be difficult I know because I've been there, for instance, did you know that being more aware can help you make better choices in life? Yep, it can, it can also break down fear barriers which can help you physically grow.  Monday's show is about Easter I know it will be a day late but it’s closer to Easter today than it would have been last Monday. Majority of you will be up and about all weekend but for some independent business owners, the beginning of the new month usually means more work than during the month. What’s up Diamonds, Welcome to the final episode of the LJ DiamondNetwork 2017 Music Awards ceremony Monday I will be playing music from each of the nominees who are all winners to me.
