POZ I AM Radio is a live-to-air podcast sharing positive stories of those living with HIV. The show covers a range of topics related to living with HIV/AIDS in the world today. Host Robert Breining is joined by a different guest each week who shares their personal story with the listening audience. Listeners are encouraged to call the hosts at (929) 477-3572 during the live hour broadcast to voice their opinions and share their experiences. The podcast airs live on Sundays at 2pm EST.

Nicholas Snow - The Power to be Strong
05/07/2010 Duración: 01h01minNicholas Snow has been out of the closet in the media as an openly gay man since 1985. In 1988 he was on the staff of the first ever National Coming Out Day and later also served on the board of the Alliance for Gay and Lesbian Artists in the Entertainment Industry. From 1993 to 1998 he produced and hosted the television show "Tinseltown's Queer!" which he describes as "a queen's version of Larry King" - this morphed into the Nicholas Snow Show with co-host Fabrice Tasendo which ran until 2000. In a dramatic twist in his own storyline due to a collision of circumstances, Snow became HIV positive in August of 2007. He has since founded ActionEqualsLife.com, devoted to raising HIV/AIDS awareness; creating lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgendered civil rights; and supporting human rights in general. He feels blessed to have a gay family that is made up of his partner of 15 years and four informally adopted gay sons all in their early 20's & all HIV negative.His previous partner, Norman, a very magical man whom he loved very much, died of AIDS n '95. It was a 2 year spiritual & physical process for the both of them. Toby's way of keeping his sanity through the whole process was to chronicle it in a cycle of poems. Casey Collins shares his story

He's also a Recording Artist who pioneered the provocative notion that an OUT GAY Male Singer could speak and sing freely to the masses long before that time would arrive. Lisa Britt - The Butterfly Girls

Sometimes they used condoms, sometimes they did not. Lisa message is "sometimes" can be a very dangerous word.Three years ago her boyfriend tested positive for the HIV virus while in prison. The staff made him call all of his sexual partners to warn them about their own risk. When he phoned Lisa, he said he had something to tell her, but he could not seem to get it out. Shawn Decker- My Pet Virus

Herman Young - HIV & Liver Transplants
26/04/2010 Duración: 01h00sHerman Young was diagnosed HIV+ in 2002. in 2006 he was misdiagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma because his HIV numbers were "normal" so the Doctors assumed his swollen glands were Cancer. Herman was the very first HIV+ patient in the State of Michigan's' medical history to have a Liver Transplant, and to this day is the only HIV patient to have a Liver Transplant. Years back people thought why waste a perfectly good organ on someone who won't live too much longer. Herman Young is living proof that HIV patients can survive and thrive as transplant recipients.
