Dean interviewed Astana Qazaqstan's American rider Joe Dombrowski before the opening stage as well as Ag2R Citroen's Michigan native Larry Warbasse. Randy won a gravel race and prepares for gravel national championships.

The Vuelta a España begins soon and Dean will be there for the opening stage 1 team time trial in Barcelona. Some recent shorter stage races took place in Norway, Denmark and Spain with American Team DSM-firmenich racer Kevin Vermaerke taking 3rd overall at Artic Race of Norway. Primož Roglič and Jumbo - Visma won another stage race in preparation for the Vuelta. Randy races at Masters Nationals later this week.

The Tour had a lot of promise for a tight two way battle until the end, a hope for an American stage win and perhaps a record being broken. Although those hopes all faded, the racing each day except maybe two stages was pretty fantastic with lots of action on most stages, big breakaways and exciting finishes.
