Unity is indeed a crucial factor for success in various aspects of life. Jesus is a great example of this, as His unity with the Father and the Holy Spirit empowered Him to operate with authority and power. In the world, we see how teams working together in unity can achieve great things in business or sports. On the other hand, disunity can be destructive and hinder progress. This is why unity is essential, not only in worldly situations, but also in the church. When there is unity in the earth, it catches God's attention. As we find in this teaching with Pastor Alex Pappas, the unity demonstrated in building the tower of Babel was based on selfish motives, but the gift of speaking in tongues at Pentecost was given to unify the church and save the world. Wisdom is a valuable tool that can help us navigate life's challenges. However, not all wisdom is created equal. Worldly wisdom may seem to provide temporary solutions, but heavenly wisdom offers lasting guidance. We find that by establishing order and structure in our lives, we can cultivate wisdom and make better decisions. And when we feel like we lack wisdom, we can always turn to God and ask for it as mentioned in His Word. By applying wise principles from the Word, we can live above the challenges that we face and experience greater success and fulfillment. Gratitude is an important attribute for every believer to have in their walk with the Lord. When we choose to follow after Christ and do things His way, our hearts release light and freedom. Pastor Alex speaks on the story in John 8 about the women caught in adultery, and how Jesus met the woman where she was in her darkness and called her out of her sin and into light. True light exposes the darkness but not to shame those in darkness, but to call them into the abundant life that Jesus offers us.   

As believers, we serve a God who is more than enough and knows exactly how to meet our needs. How many times have we spent our energy worrying about something that may never even happen? Worry and anxiety do not help us out of our situation at all. As humans we tend to try and fit people into a preconceived way of living, or being, that we think is better - but there is a more excellent way! We shouldn’t expect people to fit into a certain mold, every person is uniquely different to anyone else and these differences make no one person more important than another. We find in the Word of God that love and spirituality are extremely important to every believer even in the midst of our God-given differences. As we study 1 Corinthians 12, we learn about spirituality and gifts given to us as believers. In reading, we find that it’s important for us to be spiritual but not to focus on the “gifts” in others. The body of Christ is composed of many parts, and every part is important regardless of their ‘gift set’. Continuing through to 1 Corinthians 13, we find that the most important attribute is love. Everything else will fade away in that day, even gifts, but love will last forever. Yes, desire spiritual gifts, but the most important thing is to love!! #love #

Let’s face it, we go through hard things, and we learn as a believer that weeping may endure for a night but it will only last for a season. We will get through it and that storm will surely pass, and in the end, God promises that joy WILL come. Don’t forget about His promises for you!
