It won the national Scholastic Art & Writing Awards, the same contest that first discovered Stephen King, Joyce Carol Oates, Truman Capote, Peter S. Beagle, and a host of iconic names in the arts. It became his first professional sale in Science World. Since then Moon has won over forty writing awards, and thirty in public speaking. Chuck had written stories his whole life, but his writing career was set into motion one morning by finding a kitten that had been cruelly covered in glue and stuck to a road in Salem Oregon.  After the story of finding Sticky, (what the Kitten would end up being named...) went viral, he was suddenly given the platform to take his stories to a large audience.
