Northwest Race Report - How to Improve Athletic Performance by Getting Better Sleep Quality with James Swanwick
14/02/2019 Duración: 33minJames Swanwick of Swanwick Sleep joins me on this episode of Northwest Race Report to explain how we can all (endurance athletes) improve our athletic performance by getting better sleep quality. James has a couple silver bullets, including (don't hate us!) eliminating alcohol from our diets. He's also got a pretty cool product I've got to try out and have been getting some pretty amazing initial results from. They're actually blue-light blocking glasses that you wear before you go to bed. You can use discount code TRITHEOS if you want to pick up a pair of the Swannie glasses if you decide they're a good idea for you.

Northwest Race Report - Andrew Fast Pro Triathlete
11/07/2014 Duración: 32minWhen I first met Andrew Fast, he was living with his parents, had no legitimate results to his name, and literally had mice living in his car. Andrew had to live up to his namesake, so he trained really hard in the Woodinville area for two years with me and several other strong triathletes. Now he is a legit pro, just coming off a 5th place at Ironman 70.3 Mount-Tremblant, and is also working towards a doctorate in P.T. school in New Hampshire. I guess life for Andrew is finally starting to look up!

Tritheos Podcast - Nick Schuetze Altitude Project part 2
17/05/2014 Duración: 31minIn the third ever Tritheos podcast Marathoner Nick Schuetze walks us through his spiritual journey and discusses the impact Altitude Project had and continues to have on his life. Altitude Project is a Christian distance running camp held every summer in Mammoth Lakes, CA. Their mission is to develop collegiate distance runners to excel in competitive running and Christian living. In addition to the interview we discuss the failures of the notion of rule following as part of spirituality: #1 It can’t bring you to God #2 It can’t make you more like God. We also address the church-going view that you have to sacrifice spiritually if you wish to excel athletically and the opposing view, that you have to sacrifice athletically in order to grow spiritually” and wonder if there might be a third option. I splitthis interview up into two parts as Nick gave me a lot of content.
