  • Ep 68 - Cirque Du So Gay

    04/07/2021 Duración: 59min

The boys have one question and one question only; when are the Euros over? They can’t stand all the football lads being loud and causing a raucous but are both in agreement that Roy Keane is a ride. Prompted by having the word ‘gay’ shouted at them this week by a stranger and because Pride month has just come to a close they talk about the importance of being proud 365 days a year and being visibly and unashamedly queer and all the work that is still left to be done to make the world a better place for the LGBTQ+ community.   See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

  • Ep 67 - Two Pumps for JLo

    27/06/2021 Duración: 01h02min

It’s been a week of makeovers girlies and the lads are only itching to tell all about their new looks. It appears the new aesthetics have been perfectly timed as Kevin and PJ also reveal that they’ve landed a new tv gig talking all things Love Island on The 6 O’ Clock Show and they are absolutely weak for themselves but are up in a heap because they’ve no nice clothes. Excitement aside, they turn their attention to conspiracy theories but in true I’m Grand Mam style it’s a bit of a struggle as they can’t wrap their heads around some of the more difficult concepts (still don’t have a clue what the Mandela Effect is). They also talk about The Illuminati, Shakespeare being a pure snake, celebs ordering kids on their pizza and Avril Lavigne dying a death. They also talk about some of their own conspiracy theories and share their plans of starting a new versh of the Feis Maitiú competition.  See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

  • Ep 66 - Serial Filler

    20/06/2021 Duración: 01h03min

Most of the catch-up this week consists of PJ dragging Kevin for his choice of shirt which is completely deserved as it is quite tragic and reeks of a nan. Kevin also details a recent near death experience on his bike which left him completely traumatised because he feared he’d die with helmet hair. The lads then turn their attention to the world of plastic surgery and body augmentation. They talk about bits they’d like to have done, the chaotic noughties TV show 'The Swan' and also read out some body-mod submissions made by listeners who share the good, the bad and the completely chaotic.  See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

  • Ep 65 - Nosey Out

    13/06/2021 Duración: 57min

The lads spent the weekend on an inflatable boat and though the world knows all about it because of Instagram they both felt obliged to mention it on the podcast too because it was so unreal. Also, their best friend Paul won a BAFTA and this also gets a mention in the catchup. For this weeks episode Kevin and PJ answer questions submitted by the listeners and though he's spoken about working on board a cruise ship a million times before Kevin spills the tea on one of the most chaotic moments he had whilst on board the 'giant shopping centre on water'.  See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

  • Ep 64 - Masc4Masc

    06/06/2021 Duración: 01h04min

It’s Pride month and the weather is stunning and corporations are jumping on the performative allyship bandwagon once again and saying they love the gays and are calling us queens which leads the lads to deliver a v important PSA; stop calling gay people 'queen' immediately. The lads also talk about their tv debut and Kevin discloses his iconic skincare hack for a glowing complexion and then the pair turn their attention to the theme for this week which is toxic masculinity. From lads shadowboxing in the gym in between sets to not being able to open up about how they’re feeling, PJ and Kevin discuss just how chaotic (and damaging) this behaviour can be.  See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

  • Ep 63 - Nah I'm Dead

    30/05/2021 Duración: 58min

TW // deathNature is healing as the lads celebrate their first proper hangover in what feels like forever. And because they were dying all day Sunday the lads thought it was only fitting to choose death as the theme this week. From planning their own funerals to writing their own wills and choosing what they’d like to be reincarnated as, the pair are well and truly ready for when the grim reaper pays a visit in her cinched black corset and thigh high boots.  See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

  • Ep 62 - Club. Nother Club. Nother Club. No Sleep.

    23/05/2021 Duración: 01h02min

The lads are still on a high from their first episode back and their week was made all the more enjoyable by the talented piano player next door. The joy didn’t last long however as they discovered that J*mes C*rdon would be part of the much anticipated Friends reunion. The theme this week is queer nightlife and the lads talk about the significance of queer spaces for LGBTQ people, their fave gay clubs to frequent and etiquette for cis-hetero people who want in on the fun including a lengthy list of songs you should never under any circumstances request from a DJ at a gay bar. Or any bar for that matter.  See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

  • Ep 61 - Werk the House Down Boots

    16/05/2021 Duración: 01h04min

The lads are back with season 5 and they promise it's going to be the biggest skittybang of a season to date. They catch up on what they got up to during their break; Kevin turned 28 and got a 'no junkmail' sign for the letterbox and PJ died his hair green and got a new personality. Then prompted by their iconic new season promo video in which they skydive from a plane at 11,500 feet in the air they talk about other items on their bucket list. From slapping childhood bullies to being taught how to salsa by a sexy fella in South America, the boys want to do it all (except run a marathon because like what a trek).  See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

  • Ep 60 - Werk Mama

    25/01/2021 Duración: 01h02min

The lads decide to finish off the season in the most wholesome way possible by having the iconic duo Nuala and Phil on for the chats and they do not disappoint. The conversation starts off with the mammies talking about their love for the podcast and becoming accidental influencers and how they’d love a few free bits from Lancôme and Dermalogica

  • Ep 59 - Long Hair Don't Care

    18/01/2021 Duración: 01h06min

January isn’t even over and we’ve already received one of the hottest headlines to ever grace a tabloid paper; ‘PJ Kirby Is Growing The Gruaig’ and of course Kevin doesn’t waste the opportunity to rip the piss out of him for it. And then because the lads are admittedly ‘scraping the barrel’ they open up the episode to questions submitted by listeners. It turns out to be an incredibly candid episode with the boys telling us about some of the major fights they’ve had, stealing granola from landladies and a detailed description of a chaotic anniversary tarpaulin. Also Joe Wicks’ fart gets a mention.  See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

  • Ep 58 - Call Of Beauty

    11/01/2021 Duración: 01h08min

2021 is off to a chaotic start and in Kevin’s words has almost felt like a ‘fever dream’. From right-wing terrorists storming The Capitol to white gays sinking a cruise ship in Puerto Vallarta, it seems like 2021 has simply switched wigs with 2020 and the lads can't cope. The theme for this week is beauty and grooming and the boys finally drop that skin-care regime because we know you’ve been gagging to know the secret behind the glow. They talk about the pressure of being well-groomed as gay men and how some hetero Irish lads get away with murder and they also read out some horror stories in a section they’ve aptly named Beautiful Disasters.  See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

  • Ep 57 - A Queer Old Year

    04/01/2021 Duración: 01h06min

2020 is finally over and the lads couldn’t be more obsessed. But what exactly have they learned about themselves in the most chaotic year they’ve ever lived through? The boys start by reflecting on their resolutions from last year which are all laughable really but there is something to be said for Kevin’s prediction that it wasn’t going to be his year. They then recount the most implicitly queer moments of 2020; instances you didn’t know were très gay at first glance, but upon further reflection were actually as gay as a bottle of Super Rush in a young twink's spray-on Topman skinny jeans' pocket or PJ choosing a Prada clutch as his luxury item in a zombie apocalypse. Here's to a stunning 2021 girlies!  See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

  • Ep 56 - Make The Yuletide Gay

    21/12/2020 Duración: 56min

It’s the Christmas special nobody asked for but you’re getting anyway and what better way to spread some festive cheer than with some minimalist metallic nails that PJ got done in a fancy nail gaf in Soho. The lads waste no time and get straight into discussing iconic Christmas movies, gay gifts they wish they’d have had the courage to ask for when they were younger and the origins of Santa Claus, who we learn came from very humble beginnings in the country that is now Turkey but God knows what it was called at the time as PJ only watched snippets of a 15 minute video on Youtube. Happy Christmas Girlies!  See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

  • Ep 55 - Finbarry's Tea

    14/12/2020 Duración: 01h51s

It’s been an eventful week in the girlie’s gaf with Kevin ordering an antenna for the tv which means he can finally catch up on watching Tipping Point and The Chase, though PJ argues that The Cube is actually superior to both. Then they tackle the theme for this week which is unpopular opinions, prompted by PJ disclosing earlier in the week that he thinks some babies are ugly, a sentiment which Kevin disagrees with vehemently. They share their own unpopular opinions (which results in a fight over the name Finbarr) and give their take on some of the chaotic unpopular opinions sent in by listeners. One listener chimed in to say they think the phrase chaotic is overused which we think is chaotic. Sorry not sorry.  See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

  • Ep 54 - Nouveau Riche

    07/12/2020 Duración: 58min

2020 has been a year of unexpected events but one thing we never could have predicted was Kevin going viral over a Percy Pig tweet. The lads discuss the pig pandemonium and the hype of last week’s toy show before addressing the theme for this week which is money. They talk money troubles, being poor paupers when first moving to London and panicking every time they had to pay for their grocery shopping, chaotic money splurges and the supposed greatest investment made by any child born in the 90's; the infamous Beanie Baby.  See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

  • Ep 53 - Capital Rude

    30/11/2020 Duración: 01h20s

In this episode the lads discuss PJ serving a look with his new pearl necklace which has left Dot Cotton off Corrie shaking and also leads them to talk about Harry Styles’ recent Vogue cover. The lads then explore going with your gut and making decisions in an age where we are overwhelmed with options which leads to choice paralysis which is PJ's favourite term ever. Then, to make the episode more fully-rounded and because they’re in the mood to have a skit, they play a game of ‘Would You Rather’ and the girlies did not disappoint with the chaotic submissions.  See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

  • Ep 52 - Two Gays Walk into a Bar

    23/11/2020 Duración: 01h03min

Christmas is fast approaching and as the festive season is known as being a period of overindulgence and drinking loads, the lads decide to dedicate an entire episode to alcohol. The Irish have a reputation for being fond of the drink and Kevin and PJ look into this stereotype and discuss whether it applies to them or not. They recall their first experiences drinking alcohol, determine what your choice of drink says about you (for them their go to is a gin and slim tonic which implies that they’re both raging homosexuals much to everyone’s surprise) and give a definitive list of top tier hangover munch. If you are concerned about your own or a loved one’s drinking head to https://www.drinkaware.ie/support-services for further information and a list of support services in Ireland.Link to our iconic hoodies: https://everpress.com/im-grand-mam-hoodie  See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

  • Ep 51 - GAA(y)

    16/11/2020 Duración: 01h57s

It’s only November but the lads don’t have a whole lot to be looking forward to so they start discussing the Christmas adverts that have already made an appearance on tv screens. They then turn their attention to sport and the relationship LGBTQ+ people have with sport and some of the queer trailblazers who’ve paved the way on the pitch. They also give their hot takes on chaotic PE teachers, rank the gayest sports in existence and do an interview with Luke Nolan, one of the co-founders of Na Gaeil Aeracha (IG: @rainbowgaels), Ireland’s first explicitly queer-inclusive GAA team - we love to see it.  See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

  • Ep 50 - Golden Gays

    09/11/2020 Duración: 55min

It’s the first week of the second lockdown but the lads are in flying form as they’re celebrating their fiftieth episode. However, they very nearly didn’t make it this far as we learn from a chaotic voice note which Kevin sent PJ after they released the very first episode. They take a look back at previous episodes and talk about their fave moments from I’m Grand Mam to date and play messages from listeners all over the world sharing why they tune in every week. They then reveal gifts they got for each other to commemorate the occasion. Pop the prosecco and take out the telescopes girlies, it’s time to celebrate.  See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

  • Ep 49 - It's The Smell For Me

    02/11/2020 Duración: 01h03min

Kevin and PJ are happy to report back that following last weeks brief rendezvous with a ouija board that they haven’t had any further encounters with chaotic spirits. They discuss the closure of the iconic middle aisle in Lidl and Aldi and prompted by a challenge on The Glow Up (which Kevin is obsessed with btw), they explore fears and phobias. From dreading car journeys with their friends’ dads when they were young to having to repeat a supposedly funny story to a randomer, the lads tackle their fears head on. But will PJ be able to face his greatest fear of all?  See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.
