The lads start off by reacting to the news that Pope Francis is a huge fan of the podcast and has decided to back same-sex civil unions - work papa! Then, prompted by an ick thread on twitter, Kevin and PJ give an account of things that give them the ick. Hufflepuff gays you’ve been warned.Then, as it’s Halloween, the lads have chosen crossing-over as the theme for the week and attempt to have a skit with a few spirits by using a Ouija board. Cue chaos. The boys haven’t seen much of each other this week which Kevin thinks is a good thing as absence makes the heart grow fonder and it means they’ve loads of catching up to do. Kevin tells us about a recent traumatic run where he popped the bubble in his Air Max runners and PJ shares an encounter he had with a woman who was pure hungry so he got her a fry up. Then prompted by Fatima looking to retrain in cyber security and Rishi being annoying, the lads turn their attention to the arts and discuss how important it is in our lives. This week the boys start off by revealing the results of the poll they did to see who opens the window before a shower and who opens it afterwards and it’s fair to say Kevin is raging. They also detail a recent fight they had which they had to overcome quite quickly as they were being interviewed by the iconic Miriam O’ Callaghan the next morning. Then to lighten the mood and in an effort to lift the listener’s and their own spirits, the lads read out some anonymous confessions and are left shaking. A local cat has gone missing in the area so Kevin and PJ start off by making an appeal to the public for the misplaced kitty. This leads to the pair uncovering some of their most irrational fears surrounding going missing or being kidnapped. They then turn their attention to iconic duos and for once and for all disclose the full details about how they met and became friends when they were both young closeted twinks with dodgy quiffs. The wait is over girlies and the boys are back and are ready to have a skittybang with season 4. We all know how obsessed the lads are with their mams and they’re forever going on about them but in honour of Father’s Day the lads turn their attention to their dads. They speak about feeling pure awkward around their dads when they were younger watching matches on tv that they had no interest in, the struggle of having their dads help them with their homework bits and their dads being allies. This week the lads have had their first troll and are absolutely revelling in it because they feel like this means that they’ve truly made it. Because the lads are weak for Lady Gaga’s new bop with Ariana Grande, they turn their attention to fandoms and ask what makes people so obsessed with celebrities. They discuss things they themselves used to be obsessed with it, try and guess the different names for different fandoms and for once and for all try and settle the score on whether I’m Grand Mam fans should be known as girlies or mammies. The theme for this years #mentalhealthawarenessweek is kindness and though the lads are fairly good at being nice to others and being everyone’s biggest hype girlies, sometimes being kind to themselves doesn’t come as easy. This week the lads are joined by the star of the hit tv series Normal People; the ride that is Paul Mescal and everyone is up to ninety. They discuss how he is handling his newfound fame and all the attention from the gays and the girlies, get him to read some filthy thirst tweets, chat about living up to the expectations of a character from one of the most adored novel’s of our generation and basically just spend the entire episode fawning over him because he is so fecking lovely. Paul being on the show is proof that if you put something out in the universe and speak about it often enough then it just might come true and the lads are WEAK. It’s Kevin’s birthday this week and all the girlies are invited. PJ fills us in on the surprise virtual party he organised for his bff which featured a talent competition made up of Kevin’s friends, family and a flautist. They then discuss birthdays when they were younger and the lengths they would go to in order to try and secure a spot at the popular parties. They rate the different types of parties they used to attend and express their longing for party bags to make a comeback because they used to be weak for them. Prompted by Trump’s truly chaotic suggestion of injecting disinfectant into the body to help combat Coronavirus (like what the absolute heck?), the lads explore the medium of fake news and how destructive it can be when it gets into the hands of an Irish mammy via Whatsapp. They reflect on rumours that were spread about them when they were growing up as well as admitting to spreading their fair share of rumours for the skit and they couldn’t let the episode go by without giving a mention to the lies told to us by our own mams.
