Every year since 1961, The Salone del Mobile brings the best and freshest of the design world to Milan. The National Gallery in London is staging the first exhibition dedicated to Claude Monet in over 20 years. "Monet and Architecture" shows the impressionist in a new light, bringing out an important aspect of his work which has not been discussed before.  The curator of the exhibition Richard Thomson discusses Monet's work through the lens of architecture as a compositional tool, a gauge of modernity and an indicator of time passing by. "120 battements par minute", le film événement du Festival de Cannes 2017, couronné de 6 César et 6 Prix Lumières, pour ne citer qu’eux, arrive sur les écrans en Angleterre le 6 avril 2018. Après "Eastern Boys" Robin Campillo, se penche sur les débuts d’Act Up - Paris, une des associations majeures dans la reconnaissance des malades du SIDA. For the 12th edition of the 'Fourth Plinth' project in Trafalgar Square London, the artist Michael Rakowitz unveils 'The Invisible Enemy Should Not Exist'. The sculpture is inspired by Lamassu, a 7th century winged bull which was destroyed near Mosul by ISIS in 2015. The piece is made out of 10,500 empty Iraqi date syrup cans.  Michael Rakowitz talks to us about heritage, the mourning of the dead through objects, and the treasures found in everyday trash. Fred Wilson is an American artist who represented the USA at the Venice Biennale in 2003. He describes himself as having African, European and Amerindian roots. Identity – and the re-examination of history- is something which often comes back in his work.   Former YBA - Young British Artists- Tacita Dean is known for her films exploring themes like the sea, shipwrecks and the landscape.  She opens three shows at the same time in London: at the National Gallery, the National Portrait Gallery and the Royal Academy of Arts. Bartolome Esteban Murillo was a Spanish painter active in Seville in the17th century. Mostly known for his religious paintings and depictions of street children, the National Gallery in London is taking a closer look at the artist’s self-portraits. We followed the curator of the show Letizia Treves inside the exhibition to learn about the influence of Velazquez, the trompe-l’oeil technique and why Murillo had fallen into disgrace before being rediscovered. Cerith Wyn Evans is a Welsh conceptual artist, sculptor and filmmaker born in 1958. He represented Wales at the Venice Biennale in 2003 has had shows around the world, from the Musée d’Art Moderne de Paris, the Moscow and d’Istanbul biennials, the Serpentine Gallery and Tate Britain in London. He’s been working with neon since 1990 and unveils today Radiant Fold … “The Illuminating Gas”, a 4-piece suspended neon at the National Museum of Wales, in Cardiff.
