The National Gallery in London is staging the first exhibition dedicated to Claude Monet in over 20 years. "Monet and Architecture" shows the impressionist in a new light, bringing out an important aspect of his work which has not been discussed before.  The curator of the exhibition Richard Thomson discusses Monet's work through the lens of architecture as a compositional tool, a gauge of modernity and an indicator of time passing by.
