This week’s show featured Scouting America Mid-America Council CEO Chris Mehaffey and the United Way’s Matt Wallen promoting their Scouting for Food partnership, Bikers Against Child Abuse members Phoenix, Pita, and Chubbs discussing what they do to help kids facing abuse, A Step Ahead’s Ashley Mohr and Deb Van Ornam inviting the public to help with their annual diaper drive to benefit the Nebraska Diaper Bank, and Truck Center Companies’ Chelsey Brooks providing details on their upcoming garage sale event to raise money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

This week’s show featured Taylor Galvin and Michael Holtzbauer promoting the annual Concordia Children’s Business Fair to support budding entrepreneurs, Cody Guffey detailing the Magnum Wrestling charity event to raise funds for local pet rescues, and Dr. Jay Wolfson looking back on five years since the COVID pandemic started.

This week’s show featured DEAR Diabetes president Lorie Lewis promoting their Strike Out Diabetes fundraiser on April 26th.  Then, Tangier Shrine assistant rabban and historian Tim Bernet invited the public to their Corned Beef and Cabbage Feast on March 16th, an annual fundraiser for their service organization.

This week’s show featured ICAN’s Allison Zach and Cris Riddle promoting their annual Women’s Leadership Conference.  Then, Al Vacanti with Sports For Kids invited the public to their benefit auction to raise funds to assist special-needs children.

This week’s show featured Grow Nebraska Women’s Business Center executive director Eden Butler providing insight and education on the grants and resources they work to connect entrepreneurs with in the area.  Then, Northwestern Medicine’s Dr. Clyde Yancy talked about heart disease prevention before NYU Medical Center’s Dr. Lawrence Phillips promoted the benefits of learning CPR.

This week’s show featured Scouting America Mid-America Council CEO Chris Mehaffey promoting the benefits of scouting in a young person’s life and inviting the public to their “rebranding ribbon cutting event.”  Then, Visiting Nurse Association president and CEO Dr. Carole Patrick discussed how their annual “Art & Soup” fundraiser allows the organization to assist so many people in homes and shelters around the area each year.

This week’s show featured Nebraska Natural Resources Department division head Jamie Reinke warning about ice jam potential this season. Then, Mallory talked about her struggles with drug and alcohol addiction until the recovery program at Sheepgate saved her life. Finally, we shared a message from the City of Omaha explaining about law enforcement’s stance on immigration status having no part in anyone’s need to call 911 or request police assistance.

This week’s show featured Roots to Wings co-founder Jamie Smith and program director Caitlin Ladehoff discussing what their organization does to improve the lives of children and adults living with disabilities.  Then, SHARE Omaha executive director Teresa Mardesen promoted various volunteer opportunities in honor of Martin Luther King Day.
