In episode 21 Cheri finally has to go to court for wrecking Rick's car. Will she do time? Will the judge throw the book at her? Rick is in the early stages of a cold but presses on and wonders what happens to people who have to make a court appearance and choose to do so in their kilt. We bid a much awaited "goodbye" to the year 2016 and tentatively start welcoming 2017 as it creeps over the horizon. Rick and Cheri recap their year and discuss their person plans for the new one. We're doing Christmas here and on this episode we discuss Christmas, how the Celts influenced it and how white kilt hose ruined it (apparently). Cheri presents Rick a sleigh-full of gifts and discusses why it sucks to be single at Christmas time. Rick complains about bad Christmas carols and presents his own "Top 10 worst Christmas Carols Ever." In this episode we discuss the turducken gone wrong, Rick's ongoing auction for an original Scotty Wallace and His Irresistible Kilt of Freedom cartoon, and play a quiz called "William Wallace or a turkey?" In the Live Beer Review we become enchanted by an amazing brew called Dragon's Milk by New Holland Brewing.

Well, the election is over and we're all preparing for a Trump Presidency. Will we see him in a kilt? We discuss the election results and attempt to be reasonable and non offensive and, by gosh, I think we did pretty good! The real heartbreak of the week is Cheri wrecked Rick's car. Crashed it up pretty bad. So to take our minds off of the tragedy of it all, we discuss folding a great kilt and washing a dirty one. You have to some time, you know? It's our first on location podcast! We sit around the big table in the snug at Mac McGee's pub in Decatur Georgia for a chat with kilt-wearer extraordinaire, Doug Johnson. Doug is the founder of the internet site Pebble in the Pool and shares with us his story of surviving depression and suicide with the help of the kilt. We discuss why wearing a kilt "completes us" and wonder if they are actually man-girdles. The talk moves to clown college, balloon penises and being the official spokesmen of all things Scottish. For the Live Beer Review, we all three review Sound Czech Pils by Terrapin Beer Company in spite of Cheri's newly revealed can phobia.

The "Kilt of Horrors" episode is complete so we finally put Halloween 2016 to rest. But not before Rick admits to being a Trick or Treat Scrooge. Cheri's black costume gets her a prize at work. Plans are finalized for our first "on location" recording for Episode 12 which, from all indications, may be quite noisy. Rick discovers he likes butternut squash but the movie "Braveheart" may be losing its flavor. For our Live Beer Review, we take on Highland Brewing Company's Gaelic Ale.

The Stone Mountain Highland Games are on the horizon and there are still some wonderful Renaissance Festivals left to attend in full kilt gear. Rick and Cheri discuss the recent Facebook meme of 3 fictional characters which describe them and Rick decides there are several phrases popular on the Internet, which must be retired due to overuse. It is discovered that a lot of people are accidentally calling their significant other "my poop." Hate mail is read and there is a discussion on whether one should purchase cheap kilts. The Live Beer Review features the Brooklyn Defender IPA by Brooklyn Brewery.

Have you ever had a dream about your podcast host selling appliances at an 80s party? Well, Rick has and Cheri doesn't know what to think about it. The topic of dating in a kilt is explored with Rick offering first hand experience. In the Live Beer Review the hosts decide that Guinness Nitro IPA might not be what you think it is.

In Episode 4 of the Life In A Kilt Podcast, Rick and Cheri discuss some of their favorite kilt oriented things, the clan Brown tartan, Celtic Croft and Trinity Kilts. A new quiz is introduced called "Tartan Renown or Fartin' Around?" A chat follows about early Scots in America and their newfound freedom to wear their kilts while fighting in wars. The Live Beer Review brings to light a beer called Transmigration of Souls by Orpheus Brewing.

It's the Life In A Kilt Podcast and in episode 3 there are some lingering effects of seasonal allergies. It's nothing a Live Beer Review won't soothe though, so we review Glütiny Pale Ale by New Belgium Brewing.
