Episodios

  • Godwor Intro, Lesson 1 (of 3)

    07/10/2011 Duración: 09min

Introducing Godwor, which means: "God, WithOut Religion."  We are a group of people who are curious about Jesus and want many of his characteristics, but don't necessarily want to be associated with modern Christianity or its churches or its politics.  Some of us are Christians already, others are not.  But we all are interested in seeing Jesus as he was on earth ... to learn his wisdom, his strength, and his compassion.  This is the first lesson of three that are designed to introduce the concept, and start you on a journey that will teach you and show you how to be a wiser, stronger and more compassionate person - a person who makes a real difference in the world.  Start here, and proceed slowly through these first lessons, and you'll get the general idea.

  • Godwor Intro, Lesson 2 (of3)

    06/10/2011 Duración: 35min

In this second lesson, we review the 'homework' from the previous lesson and reinforce one part of it as an assignment for next time.  It's all about changing the way we see the world, and particularly the people in it.  We are conditioned by our culture, nation, community, family and churches to see people a certain way.  In your life there are family members, friends and enemies.  There are mean people, bullies, bosses and politicians.  Doctors, customers and neighbors.  We see them this way.  But what if you knew them as their mothers knew them?  Maybe you'd know why the bully is hateful - and maybe knowing why he's that way would help you to reform him.  Maybe you'd understand why horrible people are horrible, and that not all good people are as good as you thought.  If we learn to look at people differently, with a view to help them, educate them, free them and strengthen them, we will not only help them - but we'll also be helping ourselves.
