http://healthcareraw.com In this first episode of the Healthcare Raw Podcast I introduce myself and describe the inspiration for this show.  Healthcare Raw was borne from a true desire to connect with real patients, as a real person. This may seem difficult, especially nowadays, when the American healthcare environment is under so much pressure.  On a daily basis I meet real healthcare patient, all with some different kind of affliction, most of whom tell me that they are looking for something in addition to treatment of their respective illnesses.  But what can that be? Simple. People want to feel normal. They want to connect with their providers, they want to relate to them, they want to feel that, although suffering from this malady, they are still regarded with respect and dignity.  Healthcare systems are under a lot of pressure. They are looking for new and special ways to make people better, quicker, more efficiently. Many understand the importance of meaning and
