When I first started in homecare I oriented under a nurse who had been in the business since before I was born. A true veteran. Old school. She taught me all about homecare and showed me the "ropes." A couple things she instructe:  know where all the bathrooms are in the city so we don't use our patients' bathrooms do not accept offers of food or drink in patient homes Her reasoning for the above was: it is not professional Fine. No problem. I took note. I readied my tools, checked the engine light and prepared to set out on my own.  First day: I knock on the door. A lady opens just as I realize that I've miscalculated the bathroom situation!  "Hi! I'm Dov! May I use your bathroom?" "But of course!"
