Sinopsis

The broadcast (then podcast) of a conversation between two strangers (in every sense) at a local venue. Two generations, a curious young mind and an adult whose experience will vary depending on the topic chosen by the students.Kids will learn first hand from city officials, health and science workers, journalists, single mothers, immigrants, city scavengers, trash collectors, bakers, restaurateurs, book worms, and every character that relates to their own defined quest.

    A talented group of seven graders to transform a personal concern –most likely a community issue– into an actual audio project. Throughout the workshop they learned from peer students, teachers members of the community, and facilitators to have more comprehensive perspective on the issue they selected. Workshops and Live Podcast was sponsored in part by CPS Lives https://cpslives.org/. We also received enormous support in the development process from The Pulitzer Center http://pulitzercenter.org/education and Peter Alter from the Chicago History Museum https://www.chicagohistory.org/ Many thanks to the Perkolator Coffee shop at Portage Park.
