Bitterness, rage and anger are dangerous emotions. Unfortunately these dangerous emotions are becoming routine. We see much damage in our personal lives from bitterness, rage, and anger. Inability to control anger hurts those closest to us. We need to follow God’s example to be compassionate, forgiving and loving to one another.

Tradition was one reason the Jewish community survived. We can be hypocritical in our condemnation of Tradition-Keepers But sometimes traditions can take on an idolatrous significance.

Life is a marathon The secret of life is not how we begin, but how we finish. Finishing is what Faith is all about

Many have an emptiness that nothing physical will fill. Many have a deep emptiness in their hearts. Christ came to the world to fill our emptiness.

We have been blessed by God We have been chosen by God We have been adopted into God’s family.

We all have our weaknesses Weakness can become a strength if we do not give into it. Weakness can become strength when they remind us of our dependence on God.

Why does God sometimes dawdle? When God is quiet we sometimes hold tighter to God’s promise We hold onto God’s promise because we know God is the Lord of life and death

God has a proclivity to using little things to accomplish God’s plan. Little things make big contributions to a successful outcome. If you feel like a little thing, give your life to God and watch out.

God gave Zechariah and Elizabeth a baby. God always keeps promises Faith doesn’t protect us from pain.

Jesus’ family thought he was crazy. There are no perfect families. This story sets the stage for what happened to his family after resurrection.

God’s treasure is not somewhere “out there.” It is within. If we have this treasure, we can handle anything. We find this treasure by looking up.

When the wind of God blows, amazing things happen. When the Spirit comes, we have a new sense of excitement. The Holy Spirit increases our love for one another. The Holy Spirit empowers us to do what God has called us to do.

We are unified by what we believe. We are unified by our love for one another and for God. We are unified by our love for the world.

Jesus told his disciples to wait for Pentecost Jesus explained that they would receive power and bear witness to his kingdom. After his ascension, the angel said he would return. We too look forward to that day.

Where does love come from?---God What does love look like?---Jesus What does love require of us?---Love each other.

Dying for a friend or even a stranger is different from dying for a sheep. God even died for people who were downright evil Evidently, God sees something in us that we do not see in ourselves.
