The project brings together the quilting and maker communities and features the music of award-winning artist Meaghan Smith. I talked with Andrea about why she decided to work for herself and why she’s using technology including social media in a field traditionally dominated by…well…traditional mediums including things like markets. We discuss the experiences Andrea has had thus far with her very first crowdfunding project and why she believes that this project is also about educating the public about what goes in to being an artist and a creator.
