Monday Monday, the most special day of the week, not only are you back at work, but you also get a new episode of Utah Outcasts showing up in your show’s feed. After our special guest performed an no-show, the panel decided to power through with our latest episode. So like we said, it’s unfortunate we didn’t have a guest this week but at least the panel was in full effect with Felicia, Kyle, and me. The Utah Outcasts get together once again (since you know…it’s Monday and all that), and are so very glad to bring you our latest episode. This week, we didn’t have a special guest lined up as we normally do, instead you get to hear Felicia, Landon (Kyle’s stand-in), and me talk about our normal gamut of light news, heavy news with audio, and our main topic and features for the week. Of course we do our best to fill in a good chunk of time with our best personal stories, and I offend just about everyone near the end of the heavy news segment…and damn near kill myself by coughing a lung out after hearing someone mispronounce NU-CLEAR about the worst way ever. It’s not often that you get a chance to meet one of the most influential people in your life, and this week, we got to do just that as the Outcasts were invited over to Kerry Jackson’s house, to the X96 Radio From Hell legend’s basement (aka DINK Studios) where they record Geekshow Podcast…to record our best interview to date. You will, however, have to wait until near the end of the show to get to that interview. I’d tell you exactly where, but c’mon the point is to listen to OUR portion THEN the interview, sheesh. Your normal panel consisted this week of Kyle, Felicia and myself as we went over a little bit of the week’s news, the fun stuff with the KY county clerk, and of course some of the best personal stories we could think up from the week past. You know what’s a good bit of fun? Realizing during the editing for the show that your kids played with the bass equalizer knob on your audio mixer. Such fun! We don’t let that stop us though as we have quite possibly one of the best guests to date, the one and only Dan Ellis! The panel this week consisted of Felicia, Kyle, and your host…me! Like I said already, we had the regional director for American Atheists and host of The Godless Rebelution podcast, Dan Ellis on the show last night as we chewed up as many topics as we could handle. The show this week, we begin with our normal chit chat as we go over our weeks, THEN we move into the light news (if you want to call it that), then we settle into a very audio clip heavy, heavy news. A huge chunk near the end of the show is dedicated to us having a discussion on trying to motivate the atheist movement into getting off their butts and working towards turning this red state a bit more purple. Comcast has lost its battle for trying to keep The Outcasts off the Internet today. After the few times that I had problems with our Skype recorder (thank goodness for having a backup computer), and Felicia having a real shitty connection, WE HAVE WON. The panel this week consisted of Amanda, Felicia, Kyle, and your host…me! We originally had a guest set up to come on, but they too were having Internet issues MUCH WORSE than Felicia to the point of where their 4G was even affected. So yeah, show this week, we begin with our normal chit chat as we go over our weeks, THEN we move into the light news (if you want to call it that). Rested, relaxed, and ready for the week? Good, because we have a wonderful show lined up for you all today. The Outcasts are back and more surly than ever as we change up the format of the show that you all know and love. The panel this week consisted of Amanda, Felicia, Rhett (our guest), our biggest fan Landon, and your host…me! We talk a bit about our week, THEN we move into the light news and pop culture stuff. After our first break we dive into the heavy heavy news including more than one segment including Pat Robertson, and our fantastically bad governor Gary. Our big discussion come on the heels of the one-year anniversary of the problems in Ferguson. We get that most of the issues people have against cops are simply unfounded as really most of the world chugs along without incident but we do acknowledge that we aren’t the most likely to be hassled by the outlying cops that do cause violence on the citizens. It’s a great discussion especially as we share our various getting pulled over stories. Finally
