Jesse Lee Calhoun has been indicted on second-degree murder, charged in the death of 24-year-old Charity Lynn Perry, 31-year-old Bridget Leann Webster, and 32-year-old Joanna Speaks. Prosecutors say they’re still investigating the deaths of at least two additional women, Kristin Smith and Ashley Real. He’s also facing three charges of second-degree abuse of a corpse.  All three women were found dead under suspicious circumstances in wooded or secluded areas around Portland last year.  Detectives have linked the murders to a man granted early release from his sentence. Jesse Lee Calhoun, 38, was granted early release after he joined a group of inmates fighting devastating wildfires. Calhoun had been sentenced to four years in prison for felonies including burglary, unauthorized possession of a stolen vehicle, and injuring a police officer and a police dog as they attempted to arrest him. On the way to Bridgerton City Park in southern New Jersey, Noema Alavez Perez takes her children, Dulce Maria Alavez, 5, and her 3-year-old brother to get ice cream. Once at the park, the children play on the swings as Noema is in her car about 30 yards away helping her sister with homework on the phone. Seeing her son crying by the swings, Perez walks toward him to find out what is going on and finds someone has thrown his ice cream on the ground, noticing Dulce is not on the swings with her brother. No longer concerned about her sons' ice cream, Noema Perez begins scanning the park for Dulce. Noema Alavez Perez was about 30 yards away from her children playing on swings in the park, and when she couldn't find Dulce for a few minutes, she thought her daughter was hiding, trying to be funny. Dulce has never run off before, but Perez doesn't see her anywhere in the park. Asking everyone standing near the basketball court if they have seen Dulce Maria Alavez, she hears several stories of the 5-year-old running

Alec Baldwin announces a new family reality show that will air on TLC. The video teaser offers a glimpse into the Baldwin family, with seven young children and a marriage with a 25-year age gap between the couple. The announcement is just in time for the July start of Baldwin's manslaughter trial. Baldwin’s attorneys have planned their defense around convicted armorer Hannah Gutierrez-Reed not testifying against Alec Baldwin at trial. If the defense can prevent Gutierrez-Reed from testifying, Baldwin's team can use her own words and conviction to lay the blame for the shooting squarely on her shoulders. Geoffrey Hauptman kisses his wife goodbye as he leaves for work. Moments later, he calls Betsy Hauptman telling her to lock the doors and check on the children because someone’s passed out in the front yard. As he calls 911, Betsy Hauptman goes from room to room, locating 5 of 6 children. Timothy is missing. Betsy Hauptman meets her husband at the front door, hysterically explaining she can’t find Timothy. With tears in his eyes, Geoffrey Hauptman shakes his head at his wife, and she screams. The body in the front yard is Timothy, dead of a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. Security cameras show Timothy sitting in the family car in the driveway for two hours the night before, frantically scrolling on his cellphone. Sumter, South Carolina PD, collected Timothy’s phone and his school Chromebook. Just before his death, Timothy changed the passcode on his phone, so detectives focused on the task of unlocking it. Seraya Aung Harmon's mother, Samara Harmon, joins us on today's "Crime Stories with Nancy Grace." Samara Harmon and Aaron Aung welcome a daughter, Seraya in early May 2022. While the parents split shortly after Seraya’s birth, they share custody of the happy toddler with a big personality. When Seraya is about 18 months old, Aung proposes to his new girlfriend, Nadia Cole. On June 3, Samara Harmon drives to the exchange location to pick up daughter Seraya from her father, Aaron Aung. When Aung doesn’t arrive 30 minutes later, he starts to worry. Aung isn’t answering her calls or texts. Brazilian Au Pair, Juliana Peres Magalhaes and her charge leave the Banfields' Fairfax County, Virginia home but turn around when Peres Magalhaes realizes she forgot their bagged lunches.  Arriving at the house, the au pair sees a car she doesn't recognize and a man she doesn't know entering the house. Confused, she calls her employer, Brendan Banfield, who tells her to stay in the car, that he will be right there. Banfield is at the house in minutes, and they enter the house together. The au pair takes her 4-year-old charge to the basement. Brendan Banfield goes upstairs to find his wife.  Banfield finds his wife, Christine, nude, and a man he doesn't know, holding a knife to her throat. Banfield tells the man to put the knife down, but he starts stabbing the 37-year-old mother. Brendan Banfield carries a gun as an IRS Special Agent, and he draws his service revolver shooting the man in the head. The intruder is wounded and down on the ground. Katherine “Katie” Janness takes her dog Bowie for a walk in Atlanta's Piedmont Park. after seeing her girlfriend, Emma, who was working down the street as a bartener.  After work, Emma went home, but Katie wasn’t there.  Emma calls Katie's cell phone, then texts. Emma goes out to look for Katie. Emma uses the Find My iPhone app on Katie's phone. It shows Katie's phone is about 100 yards inside Piedmont Park, which was very close to Katie and Emma's home, Emma thinks maybe Katie had dropped the phone, so she goes into the park to find it, but what she finds is a very gruesome scene. The first thing she saw was Bowie. Bowie was dead. Not too far away,  Emma finds Katie's body. Missy Bevers arrives at Creekside Church at 4:16 am and begins setting up for her 5 am fitness class. She doesn't realize that someone else is in the building. Video surveillance shows a person dressed in full police SWAT tactical gear walking through the halls of the church with an unusual gait while clutching a hammer.   Shortly before 5 am, one of Bevers' students arrives, finding Bevers's body inside the church.  Bevers has puncture wounds to her head and chest. The student calls 911. In minutes, police and rescue arrive, and Missy Bevers is pronounced dead on the scene.  Creekside church has surveillance cameras inside and out of their property. Still, in a tough break for cops, the outside cameras don't work. Police rule out Missy Bevers's husband, Brandon, as he was on an annual fishing trip at the time of the murder. It's an early Tuesday morning in East Nashville.A family is just waking up for the day, and everyone is getting ready for work and sending their daughter off to school.  Debra Tuders leaves for work at 6:30 a.m. Thirty minutes later, Bo Tuders wakes Tabitha up for school. Tabithia's siblings are still sleeping. Neighbors see Tabitha walking to the bus stop as usual. That afternoon, Tabitha isn't on the bus home. Her parents think that Tabitha may have missed the bus, walked, or maybe was with a friend, but by 5 p.m., panic sets in. Bo and Debra Tuders drive to Bailey Middle School, where a teacher tells them Tabitha was not in class that day.   Nashville Police, canvassing the area, receive several tips. Some neighbors report seeing Tabitha at the bus stop on 14th and Boscobel Street but then see her cross 14th and head down Boscobel. When Keeslyn Roberts misses a very important appointment, her father, Eric, is called and asked if he knows where she is. He goes to the home where she was staying, but Keeslyn isn't there. As he walks away, Keeslyn's boyfriend tells him, “I haven't seen her, but her car is parked at the Flying J Truck Stop.”   This is not normal behavior for Keeslyn. Eric Roberts heads to the Flying J, where he finds her car, backed into a space in the parking lot.  The car is locked, but Keeslyn's keys and other personal belongings are inside.
