It's 7:00am on the shores of Harrison Lake, near Vancouver. You've been up all night at a rave in the forest, dancing to Techno with old friends and new. The sun is brightening the sky, peeking through branches and leaves. You're sleepy, exhausted, and sad that another Trancemission weekend is almost over. It's Trance time :) This is my second year playing Trance classics at Soundproof's annual outdoor event. Maybe it will become a tradition! A bit more of a 'pure' Trance sound this year. A bit more uplifting in places. Just as much fun! I did play a bit short to keep the party on schedule, but I actually think the set benefits from moving along quickly and not having too many similar tracks. I hope you enjoy it!

My first set which I had the privilege of playing at Trancemission 20. With the rain falling and people dancing regardless it's a moment I'll never forget. I was DJing on a Friday night of a 2-night party. My mission, which I chose to accept, was to bridge 2 other psy trance DJs, one I suspected would play on the lighter side of prog psy, and one I knew wanted to end fast and aggressive. I hadn't DJed since Halloween, so I was damn nervous. Once I started to play, the rain started to come down harder, and the canopy came over the stage to shield me and the gear from the rain. Sadly, the visuals and most of the lights had to go out because they were not monsoon protected. Which didn't bother me except that I was playing to a very dark dancefloor, I could not tell who was groovin' out on it at all! So I just kept going anyway, and heard how much people enjoyed it the next day. This was darker than I would usually play...it was simply the new releases that I was finding out about happened to sound like this! Hope you like it. It sounds like 3am in the forest on a rainy night would.

Wow! Soundproof's 'Trancemission 20' was everything I hoped it would be, despite a few hours of rain on Friday night and Saturday afternoon. Everyone really pulled together and kicked things up a notch for our 20th anniversary party! This is my set from 0100h on Friday night (Saturday morning), filled with a mix of the producers I'm enjoying at the moment. Really loving stuff from Gaston Zani right now, as well as Skober and Spektre, who are staples of mine. A few of the tracks are a bit moody, as I was trying to close down the Techno section of the night before the Psy-Trance kick off. It was tons of fun playing this set. I hope you enjoy it! Thanks to everyone who came out, braved the weather, and made T20 one of the best yet :)

Be it as it must that Soundproof is etched in the collective consciousness and integrated in the DNA of all those who are lucky enough to know it, here is my humble contribution to this wonderful event. This set was played on Friday 22:00 - 23:00 at Soundproof's annual event Trancemission 20. The sun has now set and darkness descends...

What a privilege it was to play at my most favorite event of the year, Trancemission, organized by Soundproof! This year was its 20th anniversary and it was so mind-blowingly wicked that I'm still buzzing after almost a week! This was a magical weekend, full of love, laughter, great music and beautiful people. Stay up forever Soundproof!

My very first live DJ set at an event! I was pretty nervous but soon got into it and loved choosing music to open the party. Good times :)

ELMF2017

Fulcrum and I played a 7-pm set at Electric Love Music Festival last week, in Agassiz, BC. This was a super fun festival, very well-organised with great vibe. We played at the Zen Den, which was one of the four stages at the festival, and the only stage surrounded by trees and beautiful artworks. I played the first 27 minutes of the set and Fulcrum took over after. I usually like to listen to and play techno/hard techno, and this was the first time I tried to start my set with "softer" tracks. It was a great opportunity for me to listen to genres other than techno. Although most of the set is still techno, I also incorporated a couple of progressive house tracks. Hope you enjoy it! :)

ELMF2017

It was a great time as the Soundproof crew descended on Electric Love Music Festival! A handful of us were booked to play the 'Zen Den' stage; my favourite of the weekend. Great decorations and even better sound, and an amazing lineup of DJs delivered most of the festival's 4/4 music under the cover of BC forest :) This is my set from Saturday at 7:00pm, ending just before sunset. I wanted to branch out a bit into some more daytime sounds, though by the end I think I got back to my usual flavour. It was great fun! Thanks so much to Goa Pete for making us a part of the festival!
