Halloween is once again here and with it a new look at something scary! Friday The 13th The Game is currently free on Playstation Plus for the month of October and the VG Boys have been enjoying the horror movie crammed into a game fun! Listen to the boys talk about the game and what they enjoyed!

It's been a long summer, just about over and while the VG Boys may not have been present during that time, they are feeling ready to dive back in and talk about some recent developments in the gaming community. 

Spring is here and the video game train keeps rolling. Always new games releasing, announcing or updating and the VG Boys are more than willing to share their views on the current news in the video game world for early 2018. 

2018 may be in full swing, but the VG Boys have their eyes to the past thinking about a system which means a lot to them, the Xbox 360! Particularly their favorite games which they enjoyed over the life of the 360. Both Adam and Sean have a large collection of games and decided it was time to pick each of their top 10 favorites once and for all! Join in and listen to them discuss the games which they loved dearly for a great system.

The Holidays have arrived! The VG Boys hopes everyone has a Happy and Video Gamed filled Holiday season including through the New Year! With 2017 coming to a close shortly, the VG Boys discuss the recent VG Awards including their opinions on who the chosen winners were and any other game they thought should have been discussed or won. There is also talk of games that were releasing for the holidays, and some upcoming titles that are due early into 2018! Check it out!

The spookiest time of year returns and the VG Boys have been requested to cover Castlevania. With the SNES Classic release brought back many original titles for those lucky to have acquired one, including one of the most popular of the Castlevania's; Super Castlevania IV. Spend a little time as the VG Boys discuss their favorite aspects of the game, including a bonus trivia round in the beginning of the episode where Adam tests Sean's knowledge of things pertaining to this title. Precious indeed, the VG Boys are fans of the Lord of the Rings series, and Shadow of Mordor is certainly a worthy addition to video games within the Tolkien Universe. Join the VG Boys as they talk about the Metroid series, especially Super Metroid and the experiences they had and how it stacks up in comparison to other games!

With summer coming to a close and this year's E3 has been properly digested, the VG Boys discuss the games that caught their eye, particularly some of the less mainstream but solid looking titles. Of course a few major bombshells have to be discussed such as Anthem and Spiderman, so come join the discussion!

E3 2017 Preview Podcast Episode Finally E3 has returned... This is actually the first year where the convention is open to the public! It makes a ton of sense considering that gamers across the globe have access to the information almost as quickly as they release it. In this episode of the podcast we talk about what we would like to see revealed and comment on updates on hardware and games that we expect to see for sure. We comment on the upcoming games planned for the Nintendo Switch, the virtual console on the Switch, Skyrim, Metroid, and more! We are excited for the EA presentation which includes Star Wars Battlefront II that finally has a campaign/story mode that the first release so desparately needed...and Kylo Ren as a playable character! Disappointment comes in many forms, for video games, it could be that a game fails to achieve what you expected from it, perhaps it's boring, or has too much grinding. Sometimes it's just completely different than what you pictured in your head... but then there are titles that never see the light of day, they are teased, mentioned, shown in clips or screenshots or just written in articles and then poof! The SNES is home to many outstanding RPG titles which are held in high standing for many retro gamers. Secret of Mana was a unique, well received and overall fun game which was also one of the very few multiplayer RPG's available to play during the height of the SNES' existance. It's also one the VG Boys place as one of their top SNES titles of all time, and played together and with friends when it was new up to today. Tune in and join the discussion on this fantastic game!

As any old school gamer will tell you, there was a time before home consoles where video games existed purely in arcades, and when they did make their way into the homes it was still years before good looking and fun multiplayer existed, and forget internet, a decade at least away! The arcade was the place where gamers could hang out with other people who loved gaming, sometimes going head to head in a competitive title, or join forces to vanquish the forces of darkness or the "bag guys". Fighters, shooters, racers, pinball, you name it the arcade was the place to go. Having grown up in the era when pc's were for a while only in school and very rarely in a home.... to the wonders we now share, the VG Boys look back on classic PC gaming and talk about major contenders that shaped the gaming world forever, such as Doom 2. Even if PC gaming isn't your thing, it's amazing to think about what was considered a huge leap in gaming and forever carved a way for FPS to this day.

In this week's episode, the VG Boy's remember earlier times when hanging out with your friend almost assuredly meant some fun on the Nintendo. Most people did not enjoy watching someone else play, so multiplayer was essential on the NES, and there were quite a few classics worth mentioning!
