  • Led By The Spirit - The Wind Of God (Part 3)

    09/04/2017 Duración: 36min

Today I want to talk to you about the winds of change. Change is inevitable, and though most resist it, it is happening. The Holy Spirit is the "winds of change" in your life. Isaiah 27:8 (NKJV) says you contended with it. He removes it by His rough wind in the day of the east wind (spirit). God has fixed the system that was broken by putting His Spirit in you. Now there was lots of other stuff in you when that Spirit came in, but according to Romans 8, you are controlled by the Spirit. He tells you what to do, and you're all, "I don't want to do that." So he changes your desire. Now you do want to do it. You think, "I'm going to lose who I am." NO! You are becoming who God created you to be. Some of you will change easily. Maybe worry was a very small part of your life and it fell off easily. Maybe it's easy for you to be happy and unoffendable. But are there stronger places in our life that resist change? My wife wants to change m

  • Led By The Spirit - The Wind Of God (Part 2)

    02/04/2017 Duración: 38min

Today I want to talk to you about desire's gate. We are discussing being led by the Spirit, and looking specifically at the Spirit of God as the wind of God. Exodus 14:21 (NKJV) says, “Then Moses stretched out his hand over the sea; and the LORD caused the sea to go back by a strong east wind all that night, and made the sea into dry land, and the waters were divided.” God implants His desire in our life, so that we want to do what He wants us to do. He fills us up to the full so that as we run our race, regardless of the resistance, tough days, obstacles, we enjoy what we are doing. “What can I do for you, God?” He says, "What do you want to do for me?" Certainly you have wrong desires, well you always have, but now you have some right ones, so that serving God is anything but a chore. I love what I do. Romans 8 says that the Spirit nature desires to do certain things, this is burning in you, it's your desire now. There is a proble

  • Led By The Spirit - The Wind Of God (Part 1)

    26/03/2017 Duración: 37min

Today I want to talk to you about being led by the Spirit - the wind of God. The Holy Spirit in the Bible is often described as wind. Like wind, the Spirit is invisible, and yet we can feel it. Wind opens the sails and powers the boat to distant lands, and we want our ships to go where the wind of God sends. So many Christians desire to hear God's voice, "Just tell me where to go God! I'll go." Or we say, "Just tell me what I'm supposed to be doing and I will do it." Can I surprise you? This is not how the Spirit leads. The Spirit leads in a much deeper and more effective way than this. In fact, the Spirit is leading you right now, you were led here today. And so here's the problem, so many Christians are feeling completely unled, like they’re the only ones not being led, searching for direction, destiny, “God just tell me what to do and I'll do it.” I just want to hear your voice, turn here, turn there, marry him, what do I do? Ove

  • Silencing the Voice of Defeat

    19/03/2017 Duración: 38min

Today I want to talk to you about silencing the voice of defeat. In the book of Nehemiah is a story about an Israelite who was cup bearer to the king of a nation that was ruling the land of Israel. The city of Jerusalem had been taken, and the walls of the city were fallen. When Nehemiah heard this he asked the king for permission and money to go to Jerusalem and rebuild the walls of the city. The king sent him. Nehemiah surveyed the wall privately, then gathered up the Israelites living there and gave an inspirational speech. Everyone was moved, but three different leaders from the area weren't so excited. Nehemiah 2:19 (NKJV) says, “But when Sanballat the Horonite, Tobiah the Ammonite official, and Geshem the Arab heard of it, they laughed at us and despised us, and said, "What is this thing that you are doing? Will you rebel against the king?" These men represent the voice of defeat. There is a voice of defeat that speaks to you.

  • Turn Around

    12/03/2017 Duración: 38min

Today is your day for a turn around. Mary Magdalene is standing at the site where Jesus was buried, His body is missing, and she is lost. Standing just behind her, though, is Jesus. And when she turns around, everything is about to get better. Whether you’re lost somewhere in life, lost in purpose, lost in destiny, lost your ambition, your drive, you may just be a turn around from being back on course. Or maybe you have been going the wrong direction in life, and sometimes we know it's the wrong direction, we have intentionally moved away from the Lord's path. Other times we are trying to go the right way, but we keep getting further from where God wants us. Maybe it’s your economy, debt, or your marriage, or your emotions, your insecurities, maybe fear has been creeping back in, an old addiction has reared its ugly head, or hopelessness is trying to take root. Heavy is the load you are hauling, you’ve been balling, crawling, stalli

  • God's Love (Part 3)

    05/03/2017 Duración: 38min

Today I want to talk to you about receiving God's love. I call it, "You gotta get it before you can give it." God has given His love to the whole world, but many are not receiving His love. In 2013 a car mechanic from El Monte, CA named Hung Nguyen walked into a store and purchased a lottery ticket. His numbers were selected and he won one million dollars. Problem was, he didn't know it. There were 300 one million dollar winners who never collected, in 2013 alone. In fact, on average two billion in winnings go unclaimed every single year. What God has given us through His love is worth far more than one million dollars - eternal salvation, his Spirit, authority, His Name, the church, power, healing, favor, blessing, HIS LOVE, all of this “for God so Loved the world that he GAVE.." God is giving but so many are not receiving, they let all this love go unclaimed. Marriages struggle, the kids don't want to be around you, tension with t

  • God's Love (Part 2)

    26/02/2017 Duración: 35min

Today I want to talk to you about God's love. God's love is when we lay down our own lives to raise up others. It starts in our home, loving our spouse, our children, at our church, at our job. We find ourselves not chasing what we want, but helping others get what they want. We pursue God's love, while He pursues our desires for us. We pursue the Kingdom, and He adds everything else. Jesus said, "A new command I give to you, love others as I have loved you." I John 3:16 says, "By this we know love, because he laid down his life for us." Jesus laid down His life to raise us up, and then God raised Him up. You see, when you lay down your life, God raises you up. Jesus said in John 12 if we love our life, we lose it. And the problem is, everyone is busy loving their own life, or chasing their own wants, medicating their emotions... me, me, me, and this gets on us. But the more you chase after fulfilling yourself, the emptier you are.

  • God's Love

    19/02/2017 Duración: 35min

Today I want to start a new series on God's love. God's love is different than carnal love. God's love is when we lay down our own life to raise up someone else. Love - there is a great deal of confusion around the word love. What is it? What it isn't? It is the most powerful and sought after force on the planet, and so Satan works overtime to make a mess of love. There is a very fine line between hate and love. Two fall in love, and if it doesn't work out, there is often hate. There's a lot of hate in the world right now. Not just in America either. Hate isn't new, all generations have seen hate, from the Vietnam War to the Civil War, or the hate they felt for Christ as they crucified him on the hill they call the Skull. God's answer for hate is always the same... the Cross, the gates to His love. And the world is going to be searching soon for something that works, and we are that answer. We are the mouthpiece of God to the world,

  • Prescription For a Sucessful Life

    22/01/2017 Duración: 37min

Today I want to give you the prescription for success. I'm not going to prescribe Jesus, since you already got Him. I'm going to instead prescribe a template that He created for us to imitate His routine. You see, if we do stuff the way He did, we will get His kind of results in our lives. We can try our template for living, or His. His works. When you visit a doctor with a health issue, he may prescribe something. He may take your blood pressure, “Oops, this is a bit high, no more milkshakes or fries, doctor’s orders. I'm writing you a prescription, take this pill three times a day, always after you have eaten something… doctor’s orders.” And so we do the doctor’s orders. Authority trusted empowers our will; our choices for self- control are strengthened in our sense of duty. Doctor’s orders. Jesus has a prescription for your life, and He doesn't do it because He wants to annoy you or make your life harder. His prescription is a st

  • Fresh Oil of God

    22/01/2017 Duración: 33min

Today I want to talk to you about the fresh oil of God. There is an offshore oil well about 80 miles south of Louisiana called Eugene Island Block 130. It isn't a real island, but 700 ft below the ocean surface, digging began in 1972 in search of natural gas. They were surprised to strike oil. Pumping of oil began and as most oil wells, the oil reserves in this well were depleting, the well was running dry. But in 1989 something amazing happened, something scientists are having difficulty explaining. Oil production began a steep climb. They speculate that 30,000 feet down a massive oil reserve from deep within the earth’s crust was supplying the well with new oil. They increased production, and now 45 years later, this well is still producing, seemingly bottomless. When they started drilling in 1972 the estimated oil was 60 million barrels. After 45 years of emptying this well, the oil has not gone down, but increased, from 60 milli

  • Become (Part 3)

    15/01/2017 Duración: 38min

Today I want to talk to you about operating in your new identity. We received a new identification when we received Christ, "for it is not I who live but Christ that lives in me." Most Christians have no idea what Jesus was like, how He responded, and it is Him in you that is the new you. When something new comes along we say, "What is it, and what does it do?" You are new. You are Christ in you. You gotta let the new you do. A new identity means a new way of operating. And where do we get this info? From the Creator! 2 Corinthians 3:18 (NKJV) says, "But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory." James says it this way, "Anyone who hears the word and then does not do what it says is like a man looking into a mirror and then after he leaves forgets what he looks like." In other words this word of God is who you really are, the new creatio

  • Become (Part 2)

    08/01/2017 Duración: 36min

Today I want to talk to you about who you have become. We wonder, well, what will I become in 2017? Maybe I will just become the same, or maybe I will become a parent, married, or single. Maybe I will become a graduate, or maybe I will become a student. Maybe I will become more loyal, more forgiving, more successful, more skillful. Athletes are becoming faster, stronger; entrepreneurs are becoming more innovative, singers honing their craft to fine precision. We identify what I want out of this year, or this life, then we become what is necessary to get there. But there is a deeper more important "become" I want to talk with you about today. It is the hidden unseen "become" that you are that will change how you traverse the bridges on your way, and will give you the invisible power of God to walk into things you would have formerly abandoned. 2 Corinthians 5:17 (NKJV) says, "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; o

  • Become (Part 1)

    01/01/2017 Duración: 36min

For the next three weeks I'm going to talk to you about who we are becoming. We are all always becoming something. We can be purposeful about this, or just let it happen. We are becoming more faithful or less faithful. We are becoming loyal or disloyal. We are becoming angry or happy. We are becoming givers or greedy. We are becoming better or worse. We are becoming successful or we are becoming defeated. I asked Logan what he wanted to be when he grew up. He said, "A scientist." And I believe he can become that. So why do we stop believing that we can become something? God is becoming in us. So for the next three weeks I want to ready us for the journey into 2017. I've broken it into three distinct pieces. This week we start with, "My soul, why art thou downcast." David wrote this in Psalm 42. He was in a funk, down in this moment. Down times come. You had down times in 2016. My Dad told me when I was young to never make a decision

  • Back in the Garden Again

    11/12/2016 Duración: 36min

Today I want to talk to you about being back in the Garden of Eden again. 1 Corinthians 15:45 (NKJV) says, “And so it is written, ‘The first man Adam became a living being.’” The last Adam became a life-giving spirit. And who is this last Adam? It is Christ. There is to come no Adam after Him, but He is the Omega, breathing the final word in man’s relationship to God. As He spoke, it is finished. And so the last Adam claims the prize that the first Adam could not keep, bringing restoration to all that man fell from, and we who have believed have become the planting of the Lord, and the only planting God has ever made is the one in the garden He plants, as it states in Genesis 2 that “the Lord planted a garden in Eden.” So here we are, back in the garden again. And here is the problem, most don't understand the garden, the restoration, and so they work by the sweat of their brow, and labor in great pain in birthing anything new, be i

  • Grace Elevates

    04/12/2016 Duración: 40min

Today I want to show you that grace elevates you. We know that grace affords us righteousness and that grace convinces us we are forgiven. Grace teaches us to live godly lives. Grace is the throne, the throne that our Lord sits on. Grace gives you unmerited favor with God, and Grace is the secretary for principle Edward Rooney in Ferris Bueller’s Day off. Did you know that grace elevates? And that your lips are begging and empowered to speak the grace that elevates, because your heart is full of God's grace, and it desires to break out and be seen, displayed, recognized? Too many Christians today find themselves in a low place, and then use the wrong tool to get out. They find a shovel instead of the elevator - the shovel of complaining. And they dig in with defeat, or anger, or the expectation of delay, not knowing that the rope to raise them out of the pit has already been given. It is the grace of God, and it has come to elevate

  • Interview with The Juice Lady

    27/11/2016 Duración: 33min

    November 27, 2016

  • Flip the Switch

    20/11/2016 Duración: 34min

Today I want to talk to you about the Kingdom of Heaven. Matthew 13:33 says the Kingdom of Heaven is like yeast that a woman took and mixed into three measures of dough. If you move to a new nation you will learn about living in that new nation, its rules and its privileges. You'll need to know the speed limit, paying taxes, freedoms, how it all works. There may be a different form of communication. There's a lot of talk about the Kingdom of Heaven, I mean, a major theme in Christ's teachings. Here He says it's like yeast? He warns us to beware the yeast of the Pharisees. In Galatians Paul refers to yeast as when we start to add work to our blessing. Well, you are righteous by faith in Christ, and you also gotta... Jesus here is talking about the Kingdom being like yeast. Are you familiar with the whole yeast thing? The last supper is representation of the Passover, where there was bread with no yeast and a sacrificed lamb. Then the

  • Our Struggle Is Not...

    06/11/2016 Duración: 34min

Today I want to talk to you about our struggle. In Ephesians 6:12 Paul writes, "For our struggle is not..." First of all, there is a struggle, and it is ours. I wish there weren't, but there is. We all have struggles. Some versions say, "For we do not wrestle against..." And it's literally describing a wrestling contest. Paul wants to tell us what we don't struggle with. There is a struggle, and here is what it isn't. Don't fight the wrong war so that you are distracted from the real war. And here is the problem, you may be fighting a battle that you aren't supposed to be fighting. You may be in a war that isn't yours to be warring. And so all of your attention and energy is being expensed into a distraction, and you've missed the real battle entirely. Then when it's time to fight the real battle, your barns are empty, you're walking onto a battle field emotionally exhausted. We say, "My struggle is with my boss, I'm fighting with m

  • Family

    30/10/2016 Duración: 37min

Today I want to talk to you about family. It's always been about family. God started with Adam and Eve, whom we all come from. Consider the phrase, "The God of our fathers, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.” He calls us sons and daughters of God, and wants us to call Him “Father.” He will turn the hearts of the fathers to their children…” (Malachi 4:6). Romans calls us the brothers of Jesus, and Ephesians 5 tells us the church gathering is the bride of Christ, taking on a new identity, and taking on the name of Christ. Family. There is a problem in our world. The family is under attack.

  • Profile of a Disciple

    23/10/2016 Duración: 35min

Today I want to talk to you about the profile of a disciple. Are you a disciple or a consumer? Consumerism is a culture trait of today's society. “How was my experience?” Consumers evaluate, review, they do not participate. They are focused on self and self’s needs. God did not call us to be consumers; He called us to be disciples. We are not consumers of Christianity, we are disciples of Christ. Church is not a retail outlet, a local restaurant chain, but it is the family of God, not a place you go, but a home you return to. Disciples are soldiers who are given authority, ability, assignment to advance the Kingdom of God. Jesus’ first quest upon hitting the ministry was praying all night and recruiting disciples. His first order of business was to train and empower disciples. He spoke about the qualifications and requirements, to deny self, to carry your cross, to be willing to be rejected, persecuted, even by family for the sake o
