(July 28, 2009) Dr. J appears on Issues, Etc. to discuss the recent child abuse case from Dallas in the context of dangerous types of households for children.  The mother's cohabiting boyfriend imprisoned and abused her children for more than a year, explaining that he wasn't responsible for their well-being.  Listener advisory: the circumstances of this case, while not discussed in detail, are disturbing.

(June 17, 2009) At this year's Acton University, Dr J reconnects with Missouri Representative Cynthia Davis to discuss her stand for the rights of donor-conceived persons.

(May 25, 2009) Dr J travels to Los Angeles the day before the California Supreme Court's ruling on Prop 8 and interviews Gwen Patrick (former city council candidate) and her husband Chuck Patrick (area pastor).

(May 29, 2009) Dr J interviews Dr. George Delgado after the Culture of Life Family Services dinner in Escondito, California.  Dr. Delgado is CoLFS's medical director; he discusses the services offered to parents and children by his two branches in San Diego and Escondito.

(May 26, 2009) Todd Wilken of Issues, Etc., interviews Dr J on the reactions to the California Supreme Court's decision to uphold Proposition 8.

(May 29, 2009) Dr J interviews Rev Walter Hoye after the Culture of Life Family Services dinner in Escondito, California.  Rev Hoye was imprisoned for offering counseling on alternatives to abortion outside an Oakland clinic.

(May 31, 2009) Dr J is asked to speak to a crowd of perhaps 300 supporters and afterward, she circles through and interviews a few of the demonstrators.

Dr J was asked to address a group of parents from two different Catholic parishes on the topic of chastity. The talk is a little over an hour, delivered at the Whispering Winds camp in Julian, CA

Dr J goes up to LA to take the temperature of demonstrators outside the California courthouse just hours before the Supreme Court decision to either uphold or overturn Prop 8 in California.
