The Friederichs name is famous in wrestling rich Minnesota. His uncle Denny is in the Hall of Fame and his brother Ty won 4 state titles but he didn't score on his older brother TJ until his senior year. TJ Friedrichs was a Minnesota Prodigy. Making it to HS state as a seventh grader, unheard of at the time, and placing 2nd as an 8th grader, losing by a point. He placed twice more and beat some of the best in the nation in Freestyle and Greco before the ultra tough, super talented young mans college career was cut short due to injury and the beginning of alcoholism. In this interview T.J talks candidly about his struggles and how it ultimately led to his faith, his coaching career and why he wouldn't change a thing. Wrestlers are a different breed and sometimes God allows us to go through things so we can better teach others. I loved this interview.
