Sexual anorexia is the avoidance or fear of giving or receiving social, sexual or emotional nourishment. In food anorexia, a person refuses the nourishment of food. Sexual, social and emotional anorexics shut down or refuse to fulfill their needs for intimacy. In the extreme, food anorexics can die of starvation.
