Adam Gemili is a professional British sprinter. Adam is and has been the fastest Team GB sprinter over the last 8 years. He won gold at the junior athletic championships in Barcelona in 2012 in the 100m - before competing at his first Olympics at London 2012 after training as a sprinter for only 4 months! It’s an incredible achievement where he did himself proud, finishing third in the semi final narrowly missing out in a place in the final with a time of 10.06s. He continued to develop his speed and style and also raced in 200m - he quickly found success winning the silver medal at the 2014 commonwealth games beaten just by Kemar bailey- Cole of Jamaica - and in 2015 back to the 100m Adam became the 100th man ever in history to break the 10 second barrier - clocking a time of 9.97s.
