Every first Thursday in May is a National Day of Prayer. It was first created in 1952 by a joint resolution of the United States Congress, and signed into law by President Harry S. Truman. Many are now suggesting there needs to be a National Day of Reason, because, of course, Christians can't be rational and logical thinking human beings!
