Mysteries of the Deep presents a new album from UK-based producer & composer, Thomas Ragsdale & Richard Arnold, entitled ‘Transformations I’ A meeting of minds between family members – Thomas Ragsdale and Richard Arnold – instigated a serendipitous musical partnership, and ’Transformations I’ is the resultant first collaborative body of work. Ragsdale is Arnold’s stepson and both musicians share a fascination of exploring new sound terrain and innovative approaches to composition. It began with Arnold sending a collection of his instrumental works over to Ragsdale who began to deconstruct and reshape each piece’s lavish sound palette, ushering in new detail with granular synthesis, micro sounds and live tape looping.
