I usually interview women for my podcast, but I had to make an exception when I got the opportunity to talk to Cody Alan. I have loved Cody for so long. He has always had the kindest heart, and most inviting spirit to be around. Watching him own his true identity as a gay man in country music, and taking that risk of wondering if he would be exiled from the community, where so few people have ever come out as LGBTQ was a huge moment of bravery for Cody, and powerful to observe.
