She was previously the Director of Northwestern University Press, where she served since 2010. Under her leadership NUP significantly developed its profile, growing widely respected lists in poetry, philosophy, theater and performance studies, and Chicago regional books, as well as enacting a comprehensive digital strategy. Jane has also served on the board of directors and a wide range of committees for the Association of University Presses. She previously served as Associate Director and Editor-In-Chief at the State University of New York Press, and holds a BA in philosophy from St. Norbert College and an MA in philosophy from Fordham University.
