Dc House Grooves Meet The Locals Podcast

It's been a while since the last edition of the Meet The Locals Podcast series, but we're back with a great new mix from a name that will be familiar to any regulars on the DC dance music scene, PHILCO: "My mix for DC House Grooves has a couple different feels to it. First off, I really tried to be current with the mix. Most of the tracks have come out in the past 2 or 3 months -- just recent releases that I've really been feeling. A couple older tracks in there as well. There's some big hitters included like Hot Since 82 and Danny Daze, even a Kevin Saunderson edit, but also some stuff from emerging artists and tracks that I really like that haven't got a lot of coverage. Overall, I picked tracks that I thought would make things interesting and keep people moving throughout the mix. Second, most of my gigs are opening sets or in venues with a fairly diverse crowd, so I often have to play a bit more accessible to get people going and keep a good vibe in the room.
