DC House Grooves presents Acker Place Sessions with Adrian Collazo and Kenny M

Informações:

Sinopsis

Kenny and Adrian dig deep in the crates and go two-for-two on this uplifting disco-boogie mix. Adrian Collazo started DJing in DC during the late 90s/early 2000s. Initially focusing on house music, he took a long hiatus, during which he rediscovered his love for the disco and boogie from his childhood in New York City. This set starts off with Gwen Guthrie’s “Hopscotch” (a current obsession of his), one of the finest selections of Sly & Robbie (remixed and engineered by the great Larry Levan). The rest of his selections pay tribute to his love for orchestral disco and synth-oriented disco gems. Kenny M. is an avid crate digger and record collector, and his genre-spanning sets reflect his love for funk and disco grooves. His selections on this set kick off with the 1982 funk banger “Bust Loose” by Mandrill and remain firmly-rooted in this style throughout. Enjoy the selections!
