They teach people how to start home gardens so more people can grow your own produce. They are completely volunteer based. They install raised garden beds and drip irrigation with no labour costs. Its a wonderful program to help people start growing food. By using volunteers they are able to have a ripple effect by them learning how to install it in their own yards.
