Sinopsis

Gerald Barnes will talk about Forests in a Changing Environment focusing on the current extremes in weather patterns; the impact of these extremes on the forest and the environment at large, including our water resources. Recent weather changes fit into long term environmental cycles and what is unique about the current trends. Mankind has a place in the essential balance of life and the environment on the planet and the importance of chlorophyll level maintenance in sustaining that essential balance. The constantly increasing human population is largely responsible for our environmental problems and that we must strive to implement global systems and life-style changes if we are to sustain the human existence as we know it. DeWayne Cecil, PhD will also discuss the current weather patterns form the viewpoint of the NOAA.
