In order of importance, Lucy is a Mother of 3 sons, a published Author twice over (with a third book due out in March/April time) & a survivor of sexual coersion, domestic violence, rape, drug spiking and stalking. She found herself tightly entrapped in offending behaviours and the archaic criminal justice system in 2016, which she says led her into severe moral injury, self harming, suicidal ideation and dangerous promiscuity. But, Lucy (who writes her books under the name L.W Hawksby) does credit the majority of the criminal justice system, with the long term solitude from society which pushed her to self-reflect and retract from more abusive relationships. These days Lucy is to be found admiring the large blooms such as giant alliums, black tulips and poppies in the garden she plants and looks after for her neighbours, writing further books and water-colour painting unusual birds with her youngest son, Rufus, who is 10.
