April is National Poetry Month. It was established in 1996  as a way to increase awareness and appreciation of poetry in the United States. In a special crossover event Collections .and SAGE Metro Detroit team up to close out  National Poetry Month together. SAGE Metro Detroit was launched in October 2015. It was formerly known as The LGBT Older Adult Coalition which was originally formed in 2010.
