Gullah/geechee Nation

Queen Quet, Chieftess of the Gullah/Geechee Nation (www.QueenQuet.com) is the hostess of Gullah/Geechee Riddim Radio on behalf of the Gullah/Geechee Sea Island Coalition (www.gullahgeechee.net).  On this episode, Queen Quet details the numerous land reclamation and historic preservation projects that are taking place in the Gullah/Geechee Nation.  She will also provide details on numerous Gullah/Geechee cultural celebrations that will be taking place throughout the summer months.  Many of these events are being done to financially support these on-ging efforts to keep Gullah/Geechees on their land and to restore and maintain their institutions and organizations.
