"Mental health issues such as Depression and Anxiety have dramatically increased Middle Schoolers and High Schoolers in the past decade. Youth pastors are in a unique position to offer care themselves or to point students towards the people that can help them further. Yet, youth pastors may feel ill-prepared to recognize mental health issues or know what steps to take to help the student in their youth group. During our time together, we’ll discuss a youth pastors role for better mental health with our students, specifically responding to anxiety, depression and suicidal ideation."
