Of course, Sanjay Manjrekar’s sacking from the BCCI commentary panel comes up - was there any political motivation behind the decision? Also a new Amazon Prime documentary called “The Test” is recommended with a focus on how the Aussies view King Kohli. The second half of the podcast is a great chat with Gulu Ezekiel, author and cricket journalist. On Gulu’s podcast debut, Gulu and DJ discuss his days of covering domestic cricket, the recent Ranji Trophy final (between Saurashtra and Bengal) and his favourite cricketer across the decades. They also discuss his collection of 1500 cricket books and his upcoming books on Indian cricket - “Speed Merchants” and “Mythbusters”
