Tampa PD responds to reports of shoplifting at a Nordstrom department store, speaking with teen suspects who say they’re dating. Alyssa Zinger tells cops her birthday is January 15th, 2009, putting her age at 14 years old.  When officers try to verify her identity, they can only find a 22-year-old Alyssa Zinger, born in 2001. When confronted with that inconsistency, Zinger says she ‘has a half-sister with the same name.’ The store declines to press charges and both suspects are free to go.  After the shoplifting incident, Tampa PD combs through government, school, and employment records to determine Alyssa Zinger, 14, and the 22-year-old half sister with the same name... are the same person.
