Voices From Sa

MXO is a Johannesburg-based singer and songwriter who burst onto the local music scene in 2004\. Since then he has released a number of albums and performed around the world. He has worked and performed with the likes of Hugh Masekela, John Legend, Mandoza and Maxwell. He is currently putting the finishing touches to his latest album Conscious Reflections that is due for release in June 2018. In our discussion we chat about sticking to your guns, the ups and downs of fame and how appearing on South African Survivor gave him the space to turn his life around.
