Akhila Veerubhotla is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine at NYU-Grossman School of Medicine. She completed her post-doctoral fellowship jointly at the Center for Mobility and Rehabilitation Engineering at the Kessler Foundation and in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Rutgers – New Jersey Medical School. She has a PhD in Rehabilitation Science from the University of Pittsburgh and a Masters degree in Biomedical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University. Her research focuses on using technology to help improve mobility, balance, and physical activity in individuals with neurological impairments.
