Everyone is affected by divorce. Whether you've been divorced or experienced it in your family or friendships, it's a reality. No matter your state in marriage, understand that God loves you dearly and wants the best for you. In today's message, Pastor Rick explains what the Scriptures teach – and do not teach – about divorce and remarriage. Because God is a covenant God, he takes our marriage commitment seriously. But at the same time, those who are divorced are not second-class Christians who must live under a cloud of guilt. Listen in and learn more.

In Acts 3, Peter is empowered to bring physical healing to a disabled man. Soon afterward, he tells a crowd of thousands that true healing begins in the soul: "Now repent of your sins and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped away. The Declaration of Independence affirms that certain truths are self-evident, namely "that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain inalienable rights, that among these rights are Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness." Life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, are a pretty good summary of Romans. Romans takes the vision of our Declaration of Independence a step further. Paul states, it’s not the pursuit of happiness that’s identifies the follower of Jesus, but the pursuit of love.

Sometimes Christian community can generate into a food fight over issues that don't have eternal significance. Pastor Rick explores Romans 14 and how we can learn to courteously disagree over "disputable matters" (Romans 14:1).

In an age or rage, what can be done to turn darkness into light? Simply: Love. "Keep out of debt altogether, except the perpetual debt of love which we owe to one another." – Romans 13:8
